This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how ReactForge ("ReactFuel," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the ReactFuel mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the App.
ReactForge, located at 175 Jardin Dr Unit 06, Concord, ON L4K 1X8 , is the controller responsible for the personal information processed through the App. For any privacy-related request, contact us at support@reactforge.com.
This Policy applies to personal information we process through the App. It does not apply to third-party services we do not own or control, even where the App links to or interoperates with them.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, financial account information, or advertising identifiers, and we do not employ cross-application tracking technologies.
We process personal information to: (a) create and administer your account; (b) provide, personalize, and improve the App's nutrition guidance based on your profile, goals, and context; (c) analyze images you submit in order to identify food and generate guidance; (d) operate engagement features such as streaks and points; (e) deliver notifications you have enabled; (f) maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the App; and (g) comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract, to provide the App; (b) your consent, for processing health-related information and transmitting de-identified data to our AI provider, which you may withdraw at any time; (c) our legitimate interests, in securing and improving the App; and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf, under written agreements:
We may also disclose personal information where required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to this Policy. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our service providers may process personal information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
The App is intended for athletes aged 10 and older. We treat the allergy and health-condition information of minors as sensitive. For any user under 18, the collection and use of personal information — including the AI processing described in Section 6 — requires verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, obtained during onboarding. We do not knowingly process a child's personal information without such consent. A parent or guardian may review, delete, or withdraw consent for their child's information by contacting support@reactforge.com. We comply with COPPA, Article 8 of the GDPR, and other applicable laws governing children's data.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may delete your account at any time within the App (Profile → Delete account), which permanently removes your profile, logs, submitted images, and associated records. Data transmitted to OpenAI is deleted per its retention policy.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest and row-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. The App provides in-product tools to export your data (Profile → Download my data), correct your profile, manage consent options (including opting out of sharing health conditions with the AI), and delete your account.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA provides rights to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing"; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. The App provides general nutrition and fueling information for athletes. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional.
The App may reference third-party content or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a revised "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
This Policy is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada , without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory consumer- or data-protection laws of your jurisdiction apply.
